We have a booth at the Lancaster gold show. The gold show is a great way to let people know that we are here and what we do. It is also a great way for us to get new members and make a little money from a raffle. We need volunteers to help out running the booth and answering questions. But most of all we need members to just come. The more the merrier. If you have not been to a gold show it is a lot of fun and you get to meet a lot of great people.
We need some members to help the Gpaa to setup on Friday morning 8am - noon. I will not be able to get there until Friday night due to work. We will set our booth up on saturday morning at 9am. The gold show will run from 10am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday. The Gpaa will need people to help take down after the show on Sunday. If you can help setup, take down, or run the booth, please give me a call at 951-244-3442.
The gold show will be held at the Antelope Valley Fairgrownds. The address is 2551 West Avenue H, Suite 102 H Lancaster, CA 93536.

We will be having a booth at the Primm Gold Show on the 25th and 26th. We will be setting up at 9am both days. We could use a hand from the members for running the booth.
For more info on the Prim Gold show go to www.goldprospectors.org/events/goldshows/
I should be ariving Friday night. Due to my wife working that day, I am not sure what time we will make it there.
If you have not been to a gold show before, this is the one to go to. It is a good time that can’t be missed.

Sorry if anybody showed up at the building on January 10th for the meeting. I tried to get the news out to everyone I could, but I always seem to miss someone. I just hope if I did miss you, that you don’t take it personal. The new website should make it a lot easier to get the news out to everyone
Our Chapter was at the San Bernardino gold show running an information booth. We were there both Saturday and Sunday. The show was a lot of fun with a full house on Saturday so you could hardly walk through the crowd some of the time. We had a lot of members show up to help with the booth and enjoy the camaraderie. More than a few Temecula Valley Prospectors went home with some kind of drawing prize (one of us even left with an all paid two week Alaska trip). It was nice to see new faces at the gold show and it is always nice to see the old faces again. I even had a man bring a sack full of tourmaline over to my booth with one piece that was green and pink and almost as big as my fist.
Thanks to all the people that came and helped out. And special thanks to Selena for bringing the magic man to our booth for some very nice slight of hand.
