The April 2011 Temecula Valley Prospectors meeting will be held on Saturday, April 9th, at 9:00 am. Our meetings are held at the Temecula Community Center located at 28816 Pujol St., Temecula CA. Everyone is welcome, so we hope to see you there!
Here are some of the things going on this month that you just don’t want to miss:
Item 1:
Our speaker this month will be Frank from Columbia Metal Detectors. Frank has a ton of first hand experience and should have some great tips for the beginner as well as the seasoned detector.
Item 2:

Gold Magic Model 12-10
We introduced the new Grand Prize last month and you definitely want to take some time and check it out. It is the Gold Magic model 12-10 and it is an awesome machine. This model can be operated using the rechargeable battery that is built into the unit or by a special hand crank feature. One the nice features is that it can be operated wet (i.e. in a stream or tub) or dry! To learn more about the Gold Magic, visit their website at www.goldmagic.com. If you were to buy this unit from Gold Magic, it would be $455.00 + shipping, so you’re going to want to pickup some of the Grand Prize tickets for sure!
Item 3:
There are still some tickets left for the Alaska Expedition raffle, but you better get them soon or they’re going to be gone. Any tickets left after this week’s meeting are going to the Gold Show in Las Vegas, so get your tickets now!

The March 2011 Temecula Valley Prospectors meeting will be held on Saturday, March 12th, at 9:00 am. Our meetings are held at the Temecula Community Center located at 28816 Pujol St., Temecula CA.
** Important **
The Temecula Rod Run is happening this weekend. This event completely shuts down Old Town Front Street from First to Moreno, so you will need to come in off of Highway 79 rather than Rancho California Road. Here is a map showing you the best way to come.

TVP Alternate Route
This route worked last year, but please be sure to give your self some extra time in case you hit a detour. I know Ken has a lot in store for us this month and we want to try to start on time
Here are some of the things going on this month that you just don’t want to miss:
Item 1:
Our speaker this month will be Cory Rudolph from the GPAA. Cory came and spoke last year about stream and river prospecting and it was really informative. This time he will be talking about Desert Prospecting which I am really looking forward to as that is 80% of what we do out here.

Gold Magic Model 12-10

One thing that I didn’t realize is that it can be operated wet (i.e. in a stream or tub) or dry! If you were to buy this unit from Gold Magic, it would be $455.00 + shipping, so you’re going to want to pickup some of the Grand Prize tickets for sure!

Have you ever dreamed of going to Alaska to prospect for gold but just can’t come up with the cash to make it happen? Well I have some good news for you because the Temecula Valley Prospectors is hosting a special raffle for a 2 week prospecting trip to Alaska to participate in the 2011 GPAA Alaska Expedition (includes airfare & ATV rental for one person). The tickets are $10 each and will go on sale on Saturday, March 12th (at the club meeting). There are only 500 tickets available, so they are going to go fast. The January 2011 Temecula Valley Prospectors meeting will be held on Saturday, January 8th, at 9:00 am. Our meetings are held at the Temecula Community Center located at 28816 Pujol St., Temecula CA.
This month Ken has arranged a special speaker for the meeting. He is a Geologist and it should be very interesting.
We are introducing a new grand prize this month, so come on out to find out what it is.
Following the meeting on Saturday, there will be a metal detecting outing lead by John. It will be held at the Sam Hicks park, but will be limited to only 14 participants other than John. This is due to a restriction imposed by the city of Temecula. There is a separate post for that outing, so if you are interested in going, be sure to read that post.
Hope to see you all on Saturday.

There will door prizes, many of which are coming from the GPAA, and it should be a great time for all.

The November 2010 Temecula Valley Prospectors meeting will be held on Saturday, November 13th, at 9:00 am. Our meetings are held at the Temecula Community Center located at 28816 Pujol St., Temecula CA.
In talking with Ken, it looks like the new grand prize, introduced at the September meeting, is ready to be given away and will most likely go this month! The grand prize is a Mountain Goat Trommel by Camel Mining Products valued at $695, so make sure you get some more tickets this month… who knows, you might just be taking it home.
Now if the Mountain Goat Trommel being given away isn’t enough to get you excited, we have another monster nugget that will be part of the gold nugget raffle. This month’s monster nugget weighs in at a whopping 2.8 grams! You’ve just got to see it to appreciate the beauty of this big nugget.
If you are looking for the perfect gift for your favorite prospector, Legends Prospecting Supplies & Nugget Hunters of America will have product tables setup at the meeting for your browsing & shopping enjoyment.
Have you’ve been out digging or detecting this month? Then we want to see your finds! Be sure to bring them and share with the group. Who knows… you might just win some gold!
All are welcome at our club meetings, so we hope to see you there.

The October 2010 Temecula Valley Prospectors meeting will be held on Saturday, October 9th, at 9:00 am. Our meetings are held at the Temecula Community Center located at 28816 Pujol St., Temecula CA.
Last month we introduced our new grand prize raffle item which is a Mountain Goat Trommel by Camel Mining Products valued at $695. If you’ve never seen one of these in action, be sure to adjust your schedule so you can be at the meeting this month as I will be doing a live demonstration and will be available to answer any questions you might have.
Now if the Mountain Goat Trommel isn’t enough to get your blood flowing… how about a 3.5 gram gold nugget? That’s right, this month there will be a 3.5 gram gold nugget as part of the gold raffle. This is a monster nugget and it might just have your name on it if we pick your Gold Raffle ticket! At today’s closing price ($1,314) this nugget is worth nearly $150 at spot, but ramp that up for the uniqueness factor and you are looking at a $300 to $400 nugget! Don’t believe it? Go over to eBay and take a look at what people are paying for gold nuggets… it’s a mad house out there!
After many years of wonderful service, Wagon Master Jay has stepped down from that position. He did a fantastic job and we are grateful for his service to the club. However, we are now in need of a new Wagon Master. If you love getting out to new places and sharing your prospecting experience with others, then please talk to Ken at the meeting or drop him an email and let him know you might be interested in be a Wagon Master.
If you’ve been out digging or detecting this month, don’t forget to bring your finds to share with the group. Who knows… you might just win some gold!
All are welcome at our club meetings, so we hope to see you there.
Important Note:
The Temecula Rod Run is the same weekend as our meeting so your normal access to the Community Center may be closed. Please give yourself some extra time as traffic can be heavy and use the Hwy 79 exit instead of Rancho California Rd.
